Pastor Mike Gainey is a living testimony of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Seventeen years ago, his life was bound by addiction and headed down a destructive path. But through the mercy and grace of God, his story took a radical turn. What once looked like a life destined for ruin became a life marked by redemption, purpose, and impact. Today, Pastor Mike stands as a recovered drug addict turned pastor, proving that God still rescues, restores, and redeems.
With a deep passion for recovery ministry and a relentless heart for souls, Pastor Mike has dedicated his life to reaching people who feel forgotten, broken, or trapped. His message is raw, real, and filled with hope because he has lived the very freedom he now preaches. His story gives credibility to his calling and reminds people that no one is too far gone for God’s grace.
Pastor Mike is currently stepping into his seventh year as Lead Pastor of Redemption Church in Pensacola, Florida, a growing church committed to seeing lives transformed through the power of the Gospel. Under his leadership, Redemption Church has become known throughout the Pensacola community as a place where the broken find healing, addicts find freedom, families are restored, and people encounter the life-changing presence of God.
Through powerful preaching, compassionate outreach, and hands-on ministry in the community, Pastor Mike has helped lead efforts that have reached more than 3,500 people with the message of Jesus Christ. Many individuals have walked away from addiction, families have been restored, and lives have been radically changed through the message of redemption that flows from the ministry of Redemption Church in Pensacola.
In addition to his pastoral leadership, Pastor Mike is also an author and motivational speaker, sharing his testimony and faith with audiences across churches, recovery programs, and community events. His message carries both authority and authenticity, speaking hope to the hopeless and reminding people that their past does not determine their future.
